ABOUT IOJT

The International Organization for Judicial Training (IOJT) was established in 2002 with a mission to promote the rule of law by supporting the work of judicial education around the world.

The IOJT:

  • Organizes in-person and virtual global and regional conferences;
  • Works cooperatively with like-minded organizations to offer programs to judges, judicial educators and others interested in judicial education; and
  • Provides opportunities for judges and judicial educators to discuss strategies for establishing and developing training centers, designing effective curricula, developing faculty capacity, and improving teaching methodology.

The IOJT is a volunteer, non-profit organization and relies upon the efforts and goodwill of its members. The IOJT moved its corporate headquarters to Canada in late 2025, and currently partners with the National Judicial Institute of Canada for administrative and governance support.
