DR. GOMOLEMO MOSHOEU

Dr. Gomolemo Moshoeu is the Chief Executive Officer of the South African Judicial Education Institute (SAJEI).  Dr Moshoeu was tasked with starting the operations of SAJEI in 2011; to date, SAJEI has African and International footprint in judicial training.


Prior to joining SAJEI, she was a lecturer at the University of Fort Hare, Managing Director of the black economic empowerment company which was a partner in the consortium managing one of the first private correctional facility in South Africa. She led the development of inmate development training programs.


Dr. Moshoeu also served as a Project Director of a USAID funded Criminal Justice Strengthening Program (CJSP) that provided support to members of the South African criminal justice system including the judiciary. She has participated in several international events on judicial training. Amongst others, she was part of the resource persons discussing the future of judicial academies in Pakistan as well as on judicial training and empowerment of women in Brasilia.


Dr. Moshoeu has spearheaded the publication of SAJEI Journal, Newsletter for the Magistrates, a book on Judicial Education in Africa to be published in due course as well as the Aspirant Women Judges program aimed at creating a pool of eligible women for the bench.
